Dr. Richard Lynn a Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, and Dr. Tatu Vanhanen a Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the University of Tampere, Finland are the co-authors of the books “IQ and the Wealth of Nations” and “IQ and Global Inequality” Both books attempts to make a correlation between the average IQ of the country to that of its wealth in terms of a capita gross domestic product per average IQ.

The book “IQ and the Wealth of Nations” reviews 81 countries and shows the average IQ scores that are determined from a range of sources such as published reports and past IQ tests taken. All data was analyzed and standardized as much as possible for the final tubular findings (Please see below). The authors believe that the average IQ differences between Nations are due to both environmental factors and genetics.

It appears from the published data results that the more developed the country is the higher the average IQ score will be in that country or the higher the IQ population of that country the higher the gross domestic product (GDP) per individual will be. Hence a smarter nation does correlate to a wealthy nation and to a better standard of living.
